Theology
- Truth over vocation.
- The Catholic Church is bigger than any one experience of her.
- Many identify with Catholicism but few embrace it.
- The liturgy does not create the Church but the Church has liturgy. (cf: Liturgy and the Faith)
- The Bible is true because it is Catholic, not Catholic because it is Biblical.
- One cannot say “Yes” to Jesus without saying “Yes” to his Church.
- Jesus wants all of me, all of the time.
- Is that what the Church teaches or is it what you think the Church teaches?
- On an objective level, the term “Catholic Christianity” can only be used by those who have never looked at what the Catholic Church teaches.
Philosophy
- Truth does not care what you think.
- Belonging is more than knowing.
- Seeds of doubt are sown by the devil to tempt people away from the Truth.
- Nostalgia is not a virtue.
- It is not the asking of the question that is inconsiderate and rude but the inability of the person to meaningfully answer.
- Ideas have context, life has situations.
General
- Intensity does not equal intimacy.
- Information is not education.
- Disobedience on the right is still disobedience.
- Being informed” is not a virtue.
- Life is not a competition, its an experience!
